Sir Alex Ferguson makes no bones about his opinion that Manchester United have not won the Champions League often enough.

But the legendary manager may have to get used to the reality that he may not lift the famous old trophy for a third time.

Never Doubt United - The Comeback Kings!

Not for a one second there was any disbelief. Andreas Weiman shocked the football world by scoring twice and putting Aston Villa 2-0 ahead. Yes, some may have thought this was the day when the 17 years wait was over. Last time United were beaten by Aston Villa at the Villa park, David Beckham scored his debut goal. United lost 3-1. Alan Hansen had his famous "You’ll never win with kids” moment. And we all know what those kids achieved after that!

Not for one moment there was a disbelief in the United fans, not in the fans at the away stand, not in the fans watching at home. And I bet even the Villa fans knew it wasn’t going to be a walk in the park! Something was in the air. The aurora was different, yet so familiar. This was not an ordinary team.
United do it the hard way! MUFC 3 - Braga 2

Yet another come back completed. Yet another show of resilliance and will power. Offensively, a spectacular performance. Some of the attacking play was a treat to watch.
CFR Cluj Away - Champions League

It would appear that things just aren't going right in the united camp recently. Could it be down to the lack of defensive back up, as many people noticed last night Jonny Evans wasn't moving very well, after an injury he picked up in the Tottenham game last Saturday and just ten minutes from time was no longer able to continue after picking up a knock and was replaced by Scott Wootton for his Champions League Debut. Wootton had made regular appearances for reserves team as well as going out on loan to Tranmere Rovers, Peterborough United and Nottingham Forest respectively. With further injury worries in defence for the reds, it’s without doubt Wootton's chance to stake his claim for a regular spot in the first team.

Patrice Evra was given the run around last night from Modou Sougou, before the Cluj player limped off with a hamstring injury making Evr...
